The Grinnell College men’s track and field team placed in seven events Saturday at the 2012 Midwest Conference Indoor Championships Saturday at Jacksonville, Ill.

Taking fourth were Dylan Boucher ’12, who tied his own school record in the 60-meter dash in a time of 7.12, and Kyle Moorehead ’15 in the 800 with a clocking of 1:59.05.

Ben Tyler ’14 was fifth in the 3000 in 8:57.58, while Andy Hirakawa ’12 broke his own school record in the 60 hurdles by placing sixth in 9.04. His previous best was 9.08, set earlier in the meet.

The Pioneers added a seventh-place finish in the 4x400 relay (3:33.77) and were eighth in the distance medley relay (11:27.22). Boucher was eighth in the high jump, as well, leaping 5-9 ¾.

Grinnell finished fifth in the team standings with 40 points. Monmouth College defended its title with 208 points.
