Grinnell College’s Amanda Stromquist ’12 has been named to the Capital One Academic All-District Softball Team
Stromquist, from Minneapolis, Minn. (Southwest), was a second-team selection in the College Division of District 7.
An All-Midwest Conference South Division selection, Stromquist tied Grinnell’s school record for homers in a career with eight this season and last year established the Pioneer mark for round-trippers in a season with six.
She hit .395 this year with team-highs of 17 RBI, 10 doubles and a .547 slugging percentage. She also had a home run.
