A number of senior student-athletes were honored at the annual Grinnell College Honor G Banquet at the Harris Center Sunday, May 17.
Katie Colver and Rebecca Mackenzie won the highest honors for female athletics. Both won the Grace McIlrath Parker '11 Memorial Award for Outstanding Senior Athlete in a Single Sport, with Colver earning it as an individual and Mackenzie for a team sport.
Men winning the David Theophilus '51 Memorial Award for Outstanding Senior Athlete in More than One Sport were Brett Maloney (team sport) and Henry Reich (individual sport). Winners of the Morgan Taylor '26 Memorial Award for Outstanding Senior Athlete in a Single Sport were Dan LaFountaine (individual sport) and David Arseneault (team sport).
Reich won the men's Honor G Scholastic Award and Nick Sparr the George B. Critchett '25 Service Award. Jill Kaspar received the Honor G Scholastic Award for Women and Becky Bessinger the Honor G Service Award for Women.
John Grotberg earned the Coaches Award.
A week earlier, the top first-year student-athletes were honored the G. Lester Duke '25 Award. Mike Bogard and Jayme Wiebold won the honor for the top male and female athletes representing team sports, while Thomas Lankiewicz won it for top male athlete representing an individual sport.
