Pioneer women golfers look for another good season

The Women's Golf team is coming off a successful season that saw them place second in the Midwest Conference in 2007.

Four of the top players from last year's team will return to the fold in 2008.

This year's schedule will feature two-day tournaments at Illinois College and Milliken, single day tournaments at Knox, Monmouth and St. Ambrose and the MWC's 54-hole championship (hosted this year by Beloit).

Projected Line-up
#1 Amy Livingston Jr Hinsdale, Il
- Amy is the longest driver in the conference. She consistently hits her drives in the 280 yard range. With improved touch around the greens, Amy will be a contender for this years individual title.

#2 Stephanie Goggin So Alma, MI
- A year older and a year better. Breaking 90 should now be the 'rule' rather than the 'exception'. And if she gets her putter going, she will challenge for a top-five spot in conference. .

#3 Haddie Dowson Sr Monterey, CA
- Slowed by health issues for most of her career, Haddie has never been able to reach her full potential. Even still, she finished in the top 10 in the MWC as an individual in 2006. .

#4 Jordan Heguy Jr Denver, CO
- Jordan is a solid #4, capable of posting sub-90 scoring. With each year, her inner confidence has grown and she has learned to become more consistent in her performances. .

The remainder of the line-up has yet to be determined. Sophomore,Dena Rennard (Omaha, NE), first-year, Ashlen Matzdorf (North Oaks, MN) and senior, Zair Burris (North Bend, OR) will battle it out for the remaining two spots. .
