Assistant Coach Kim Forbes

Forbes returns to Grinnell College after serving five years in a previous stint with the Pioneers. A 1993 graduate of Cornell College with a degree in women’s studies, Forbes later went on to earn her master’s degree in education/special education from the University of Iowa.

She coached at Cedar Rapids Kennedy High School with Benning and later at Cedar Rapids Regis/Xavier High School. Forbes was also head boys coach at Cedar Rapids Wilson Middle School and head girls coach at Mount Vernon High School. She later joined Benning as Grinnell’s assistant, where she was part of a coaching staff that helped guide the Pioneers to their first NCAA Tournament appearance in 1999 and again in 2004.

She was a four-year starting goal keeper at Cornell and was a teammate of Benning’s two of those years.
