The Grinnell College women’s soccer team held a Youth Soccer Clinic for the third consecutive year on Aug. 28.
Nearly 60 children ages 4 to 11 attended the event. The Pioneers collected school supplies to donate to local elementary schools, specifically to be given to students at mid-year when they need replacement supplies but can’t afford them.
After the clinic, the Pioneers spent the afternoon on the slides and lazy river at the Grinnell Mutual Aquatic Center. Three years ago, the proceeds from the first women’s soccer clinic went to Splash!, the organization that raised funds for the new outdoor pool.
