The Grinnell College women’s swimming and diving team posted nine event victories on its way to an easy 163-114 win at Macalester College Saturday afternoon.

Individual winners for Grinnell were Emily Bajet ’12 in the 200-yard butterfly (2:28.80), Morgan Bober ’12 in the 100 butterfly (1:02.90), Beth Gillig ’15 in the 100 backstroke (1:04.28), 100 freestyle (56.91) and 400 individual medley (4:57.65), Kelly Bruce ’12 in one-meter diving (223.35) and Sara Hannemann ’14 in the 200 backstroke (2:23.91).

Nikki Pyle ’14, Danielle Phillips ’15, Bober and Grace Gallagher ’14 teamed up to win the 200 medley relay (1:56.70), while Phillips, Gillig, Casey Strickler ’12 and Martha Reilly ’12 won the 800 freestyle relay (8:36.89).

Individual runners-up for Grinnell were Reilly in the 1650 freestyle (19:16.64) and 400 individual medley (5:08.12), Pyle in the 100 backstroke (1:05.44), Bober in the 100 breaststroke (1:11.01), Kristina De La Torre ’14 in the 200 butterfly (2:33.64), Gallagher in the 50 freestyle (26.66), Strickler in the 200 breaststroke (2:45.26), Phillips in the 500 freestyle (546.68) and Bruce in three-meter diving (240.20).

Grinnell also got a runner-up finish from the 200 freestyle relay team of Eyman-Casey, Bober, Gallagher and Lauren O’Hair ’12 (1:47.77).

Grinnell, 4-2 in dual meets, will swim at Coe next Saturday.
