Sachi Graber ’12 (pictured) had a pair of seventh-place finishes to spark the Grinnell College women’s track and field team at the Hilltop Invitational indoor meet hosted by Cornell College on Saturday.
Graber ran the 3000-meter run in 11 minutes, 48.46 seconds and went 8 feet, 6 ¼ inches in the pole vault.
Frances Leslie ’10 was 10th in the 800 in 2:33.38 and Isabelle Miller ’13 took 22nd in the 400 in 67.02.
On the men’s side, Grinnell had two pole vaulters finish sixth and seventh. Fernando Jenkins ’10 was sixth with a leap of 12-5 ½ and Hugh Redford ’10 was seventh at 11-11 ¾
Kyle Lynch-Klarup ’10 took eighth in the 800-meter run in 2:04.35 and Rob Yin ’12 was eighth in the triple jump with a leap of 38-9.
Mike Tylinski ’12 added a 10th-place finish in the mile run in 4:41.26 and Erik Figge ’13 was 12th in 4:45.1. Also placing well were Winnon Brunson ’10 in the 200 dash, placing 15th in 24.02, and Que’nique Newbill ’13, who was 16th in the 400 in 54.32.
No team scoring was kept in the meet.
