Alex Exarhos '10 Alex Exarhos '10

I'm Alex Exarhos, a third-year computer science major from Richland, WA. I'm a captain on the soccer team, but when I'm not playing with the team, you can find me teaching swing dancing, playing more soccer, singing, playing the guitar, thinking about soccer, or working on something computer related. Did I mention I like soccer? My general philosophy is to squeeze in as much as I possibly can into my day because I'm really enthusiastic about lots of stuff. You will rarely find me sleeping; it's just not exciting enough.

Jillian Goetz '10

My name is Jillian Goetz, and I'm a third-year Computer Science and Neuroscience major. I'm originally from Carthage, Illinois, and I attended a high school that no longer exists. My favorite thing to do is draw, but I don't get enough time to do that here, so I get creative working at the Spencer Grill, where I make sandwiches and design menu boards. I also recently found myself doing some theater at Grinnell for the first time ever, and just this year I've acted in two mainstage plays and a one-act, as well as working backstage on a third mainstage. I'm also an SA, so I have an excuse to waste the rest of my free time socializing and having fun with the kids on my floor.

Jackie Graves '09

Jackie Graves is a senior Chinese major from North Carolina.  She enjoys randomly lindy hopping in the middle of the JRC with members of the Grinnell Swing Society and spends her weekends horseback riding with the Grinnell Equestrian Club.  After graduation, she plans to live and work in China.

Although ze is very busy ze still finds time to work in the mail room, hang out with friends, eat meals, and even do some homework.

Along with psychology, I am also interested in Mathematics and am pursuing getting my teaching license in High School Mathematics through Grinnell.

Kline Mike Kleine '11

Mike Kleine is a minimalist infatuated with social commentary. He writes surrealist tales and plans on attending Law School to meet a nice young life partner dedicated to Mike Kleine, child-rearing, and internet publications. In his spare time, he can be found supporting the local hip-hop scene, composing music for low-budget films, shooting innovative documentaries and dancing to British music. Mike Kleine keeps himself busy as the graphics editor for the Scarlet & Black, tutor for the French department, lights-man for the Concerts committee and now freelance artist for Exit-182.

Marissa Lenoir Marissa Lenoir '11

My name is Marissa Lenoir, and I am a second-year Russian and Spanish double major from Austin, Texas.  I work at Full-Day Headstart and play the South American panpipes.  I have been on the Grinnell Review Committee for two years now, and I founded my own human rights publication with a friend this year.  I like Czech New Wave films, Emma Goldman, the Russian Avant-garde, seafood, SmartWool, and C-SPAN.  I want to be a fiction writer, diplomat, essayist, playwright, entrepreneur, and art critic.

Cy Mistry Cy Mistry '11

Cy Mistry is a second-year student at Grinnell, majoring in Political Science with a concentration in Environmental Studies. Originally raised in the savage depths of West Des Moines, Iowa, he embarked on a lengthy voyage of self-discovery, ending up on the doorstep of Grinnell College, where he has resided ever since. When not spending most of his waking hours at Burling or honing his table tennis skills, he enjoys digital design, swimming, water polo, the Spanish language, and going to the cinema. He has fallen in love with everything about the College, and will undoubtedly maintain this sentiment for aye.

Some day I hope to live somewhere with better weather that is not quite so land-locked.
