Wanting for other what was shared with her.
— Mary Brooner ’71
Mary has been an active volunteer on and off for many years. She was a key member of Grinnell’s Sesquicentennial celebration planning committee. She chaired the Wall Committee, establishing Joe Wall ’41 Public Service Award.
“Grinnell is past, present, and future — an institution that I love, bigger than my class or my generation. I love learning the stories of its rich history. I love meeting current students and recent grads, discovering we have connections that may start in the Grinnell experience but thrive in our current interests. I want Grinnell to be a presence from Iowa to the global community for many future generations.”
Mary is currently volunteering with the Alumni Council.
