Dreaming life from childhood, through Grinnell, and into retirement
Grinnell was wonderful for me; it opened my life to the excitement of reading, talking long hours with professors and other students, and making life-long friends. After the Peace Corps, Ph.D., marriage, child-rearing, and government work, I retired and was chosen to be an artist in residence in Maryland, painting and writing.
I am following the dreams I had as a child and then as a student at Grinnell. What a place! It asks us, what will we make of ourselves, how will we love, who will be with us, and what do we value? I love Grinnell College.
