Georgia to Grinnell to California to...... ???
This coming fall Julia Reese ’10 will take her Grinnell Degree to Palo Alto, California where she will attend the Stanford Law School. It is no surprise to anyone that Julia wants to become a lawyer, a dream she has had since childhood. While at Grinnell she cultivated that dream by captaining the Mock Trial team, reading mystery books, watching lawyer-based tv shows, and of course studying very hard.
When she wasn’t studying to complete her double major in mathematics and economics, Julia was completing coloring books, watching Disney movies, cooking, sleep walking, and talking to her family. Besides that, Julia played on the varsity softball team, was a student advisor, worked as a tutor and a grader and helped Professor Bill Ferguson ’75 in the economics department as a research assistant.
Most people on campus knew Julia as a fun-loving friend with a very distinctive laugh. It IS a great laugh. Reflecting on her Grinnell experience: “ It was an incredible experience that allowed me to problem solve in and outside of the classroom.”
Best of luck, but you probably won’t need it.
