To the right of the thermostat is a switch to select cooling, heating, or off. Select the desired option. (Keep in mind that heating and cooling are not always enabled, i.e. in September heating is turned off, so simply turning the switch to heating does not turn on the heat.) Open the door of the thermostat and you will notice a slider. This slider allows for an approximate adjustment of 2 degrees above and below the setpoint of 68 degrees (66-70) when in heating mode and 71 degrees (69-73) when in cooling mode. Anytime a window is open, heating and cooling are disabled for the room.
