As a photographer fascinated with old-world techniques and ways to push the boundaries of captured time, Titarenko creates haunting images of his home city, St. Petersburg, Russia. Titarenko is interested in figurative photography, but his images almost always include a backdrop of city buildings and communal spaces. This catalog includes images from three series he made between 1992 and 2000, with text in English and French by Gabriel Bauret. 42 black and white plates.
