Guest curator Amy Henderson '94 discusses the history of quilts within social and art historical contexts. Her essay also describes Quilter's S.O.S., a recent effort to record quiltmaker's stories about their art and process. The exhibit included antique quilts, art quilts by internationally-renowned fiber artists, and quilts by present-day Iowa quiltmakers. 2003.
