In poetry, forms like the villanelle, pantoum, sestina, and rondeau circle back while moving forward. Their odd and insistent amplifications suggest an ambulance stuck in traffic: something at once frozen and emergent. Students from Associate Professor of English Ralph Savarese’s poetry writing seminar will read poems that find their life in repetition, returning, and re-turning.
