Open Mic Night and Reading by Barry Lopez, September 29, 7 pm

A special evening combining open mic time and a reading by acclaimed writer Barry Lopez. Students, staff, faculty, and community members are invited to read or perform original works or the works of favorite writers and composers. We’ll provide a microphone, a podium, and a piano. At 8 pm, Barry Lopez will read from his essays and short stories. Lopez’s writing, including his most recent book, Home Ground: Language for an American Landscape, makes a fitting connection with Culturing Community.
