The Faulconer Gallery provides a wide variety of arts outreach activities/events throughout the community, partnering with individuals, departments, schools and organizations to provide responsive community based arts programs. Faulconer Arts Outreach activities are planned and provided by Tilly Woodward, Curator of Academic and Community Outreach. Programs are provided free of charge to partner organizations. 6:30 - 8 pm
Volunteers needed to set up 500 luminaries in and around Joe Rosenfield Center on the Grinnell College Campus. Each luminary has a panel with text from King's speech "Staying Awake During a Revolution" or a photographic image from King's visit to Grinnell in 1967.
8 - 10 pm
An installation of light and sound. Listen to a recording of King delivering his address to the Grinnell Community in the light of luminaries and view a moving power point of his visit.
