Exhibition of Boschian Imagery
An exhibition of prints by Eastern European artists from the 1970s and 1980s is on disply in the John Chrystal Center Gallery on the Grinnell College campus.
The exhibition, “Boschian Imagery Five Centuries Later and a Few Time Zones to the East,” features prints from the college’s collection by Jiri Anderle, Albin Brunovsky, and Aleksandr Kalugin. Curated by Faulconer Gallery Intern Claire Wenngren, a senior from Centennial, Colo., the exhibition characterizes the work of Renaissance painter Hieronymus Bosch. Wenngren is an art history and Russian double major who has studied in St. Petersburg, Russia, where she volunteered at the Hermitage Art Museum.
The John Chrystal Center is located at 1103 Park St. on the Grinnell College campus. Gallery hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
