Roots of Renewal and its related programs were supported, in part, with grants from
- Iowa Arts Council, a division of the Iowa Department of Cultural Affairs;
- Humanities Iowa and the National Endowment for Humanities;
- the Elizabeth Firestone Graham Foundation, Albuquerque, New Mexico;
- Grinnell Tourism Group; and by the

The original music composed for Roots of Renewal has been commissioned through the
American Composers Forum's Continental Harmony program, which links communities
with composers. The program is a partnership of American Composers Forum and the
National Endowment for the Arts, with additional funds provided by the John S. and
James L. Knight Foundation, Rockefeller Foundation, and from Marshall Field's Project
Imagine with support from the Target Foundation.
