  <title>Keri Hornbuckle '87 finalist for Iowa Women of Innovation award</title>

  <description>Keri Hornbuckle, an environmental engineer at the University of Iowa, conducts research on air pollution. A year ago, Hornbuckle reported that 91 percent of the air samples taken at 184 sites in Chicago contained PCB11, a variant of the industrial compounds known as polychlorinated biphenols, or PCBs.  Production of PCBs was halted in the 1970s when it was found that the lubricant was entering water systems and food chains and causing cancer.

  <description>Grinnell men's soccer is making its first-ever trip to the NCAA Tourney. The team will play Macalester in the opening round of the NCAA Division III National Tournament Saturday, Nov. 14 in Dubuque. 


Grinnell earned an automatic berth into the NCAA Tournament after winning the Midwest Conference Championships on Saturday with a shootout victory over Beloit College.
