Not all pages in BornFree were converted to Drupal.  All pages were reviewed prior to conversion and almost one third of pages were marked to not be imported.

In other cases a page may have been retitled or altered in some way to make it function correctly in Drupal.

To find a page that existed in BornFree, try going to the same URL but in Drupal.  If a page was at www.grinnell.edu/academic/sociology/faculty, try going to webblade.grinnell.edu/academic/sociology/faculty.  This "trick" will not work after the switch to Drupal.

Try going to Find a node.  This page provides multiple filters that help you find nodes based on title, the last time a node was edited, who has edited a node, and content type.

In BornFree, there was little consistency in the terms used to link to each page.  Because this was not standardized, a combination of the automated import script and student workers had to make their best guess as to what the menu item to each page should say.

Power Users and Site Administrators can easily change the link text and ordering of your menus.  Contact the Web Guys or a Power User if you need help changing your menus.

If some pages should not be displayed in the menu at all, learn how to hide or unpublish a node.

Many people "deleted pages" in BornFree by removing links to those pages, rather than removing the files.  Additionally, deleting a page in BornFree was not enough to remove it from the website.  Hence, many pages may "reappear" in Drupal because the menu system lists all pages within a section of the site.  Luckily, it's easy to hide or unpublish nodes.

On December 18, 2009, an all-campus email was sent by Leonya Ivanov.  The first line read:

The new version of the Grinnell website is available for you to review at: http://webblade.grinnell.edu. On January10 it will become the official College’s website.

Additional emails were sent to all BornFree users and members of the campus Web Group.

The project scope for Phase I of the grinnell website project only contained budget for a single design to be created.

The Web Guys, with the help of the Web Group's Look & Feel subcommittee, "refreshed" the look of the site, leading to the current design.

Phase II of the website project involves a full, professional redesign and analysis of the site structure.
