Images not in the menu may be edited by anyone who has permission to edit images. This allows people to add metadata to any image they are familiar with, or tag an image to be used in another area.
The advantages gained from this system require that all Drupal users abide by the following guidelines:
- Only use images that you uploaded, you received explicit permission to use from the author, or are marked as being in the repository.
- We encourage you to include your images in the repository if you don't mind others using them.
- Do not change the captions or metadata on an image that you did not upload or have received explicit permission to change. Many people may use the same image/caption and a change to that caption by someone other than the author could cause problems for others.
