Use the formatting drop down to correctly make headers.

It is important to properly use Headings. The heading styles are found in the Formatting Drop-Down menu. A more detailed description of how to use headings is provided in Session 1 Powerpoint (see attachment at bottom of page). Remember that headings are a key part of making our pages accessible as well as improve search results, and the structure of the site's information.

Headings imply a page structure of:

  • Heading 1 (Page title, there is only one Heading 1)
    • Heading 2
    • Heading 2
      • Heading 3
        • Heading 4
    • Heading 2

Headers are also consistently styled accross the site as part of the theme.  Here are all the header styles:

  • Heading 2

  • Heading 3

  • Heading 4

  • Heading 5
  • Heading 6
