With the launch of the new Grinnell.edu comes a new structure of collecting input regarding the site and providing assistance in users who work with it.

Important Groups providing Website Support

Web Team

The Web Team administers Drupal, manages users, and helps do the most advanced functions needed to do the site. They also constantly work to improve the site's usability and look.

Web Group

The Web Group provides campus-wide input regarding the site and is the group that originally selected Drupal for building the new site.

Web Group Subcommittees

The Web Group additionally has four subcommittees charged with collecting feedback from users, researching solutions to problems, and providing input on important decisions. The four subcommittees are

  • Quality Assurance,
  • Look & Feel,
  • Training & User Assistance,
  • and Drupal Functions & Shared Apps.

Power Users

In addition to the web group and subcommittees, a core group of "power users" was identified from across the campus to receive advanced training regarding Drupal. Power Users have the ability to quickly improve menus, assign users to sections, and other important functions previously reserved to just the site administrators. Because of their wide-reach on campus, power users are the first line of support for site editors when they encounter problems or need help doing an advanced function.
