Gathering Inforamtion Via Electronic Survey

Gathering Information Via Electronic SurveysWeb Forms using Microsoft Access and ASP (A Tool Set using MS Syntax)

Web forms are easy to construct and can be used by survey-takers on and off campus. There are a wide variety of response formats (ways to collect and display the survey results). Questions about setting up a web form may be directed to Carlie VanWilligen at ext. 4901.

PioneerWeb - Blackboard (A Commercial Product on Campus)

PioneerWeb (Blackboard) is also easy to construct and flexible, but requires some behind-the-scenes ITS involvement. Surveys can be created as independent modules in PioneerWeb. Documentation is available for survey designers, but setting up and activating a survey requires the assistance of an ITS staff person. Survey takers must log in to the system to access the survey. Questions about setting up a survey in PioneerWeb can be directed to Wayne Twitchell at ext. 4901.

Survey Solutions (A Second Commercial Product on Campus)

Surveys are available in many different forms. They are available in paper, email or electronic formats and may be securely stored on the campus Storage Server. Questions about setting up a paper, email or electronic survey with campus storage protection may be directed to Fred Hagemeister at ext. 3031.

Survey Monkey (A Commercial Product off Campus)

Survey Monkey is externally hosted, inexpensive, and flexible. More information about Survey Monkey is available at: www.surveymonkey.com.
