Prizes will be awarded and refreshments served during the opening reception. BAX is an annual exhibition of works by advanced third-year students and seniors. With support from Faulconer Gallery staff, students manage all the exhibition details: from the submission of proposals to selection of a juror, to the installation process, and to the awarding of prizes.

The 2019 exhibition includes works by 23 students, including photographs, drawings, sculpture, and installations, among others.

Studio art majors Charlotte Richardson-Deppe ’19 of St. Paul, Minnesota, and Anne Rogers ’19 of Chicago took the lead in organizing the 2019 exhibition.

“We are really enthusiastic about BAX this year,” Richardson-Deppe says. “Our juror is Veronica Casado Hernandez, a fiber artist from Chicago. “We have a strong group of third-year students who submitted exciting work this year. Overall, it is a terrific exhibition, working through diverse media and presenting works from both art majors and non-art majors.”

Detailed Schedule

The exhibition remains on display through May 20 during the Faulconer Gallery’s regular hours of 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
