With an already award-winning feature film set to be released this summer, comedian and writer Kumail Nanjiani will return to his alma mater Monday to give the commencement address to nearly 400 graduating seniors at Grinnell College.

Described as "the future of funny" by GQ magazine, Nanjiani is a 2001 Grinnell graduate who first performed stand-up comedy at Bob's Underground Cafe on campus. The Pakistan native earned a bachelor's degree in computer science and philosophy before moving to Chicago then New York City.
