Second City for President: 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 29, Harris Center
Des Moines Symphony: 7:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 1, Herrick Chapel
Tickets available: Wednesday, Sept. 26

Democrat, Republican, independent, or third party? No matter. The Second City has a perfect antidote for election fatigue!

Second City for President will dole out laughter at the expense of both sides of the aisle, as well as comedy that is decidedly apolitical, uncensored and unabashedly hilarious.  With scripted and improvisational elements, audiences always enjoy being part of the show and playing along with the next generation of comic legends.

Second City for President is the first performance in Grinnell's 2012–13 public events series.  A concert by the Des Moines Symphony Orchestra will be the second, performing on Monday, Oct. 1, in Herrick Chapel.

The public events series brings top-name entertainers and performers from around the world to the College.  Like most events at Grinnell, performances in the series are free.

Students looking for more entertainment can also catch comedienne Tracey Ashley on Oct. 5, sponsored by the Student Government Association’s All-Campus Events committee.
