Kesho Scott honored with medal for equality and justice
Saturday Aug. 23, Kesho Scott, associate professor of American Studies and sociology, received the Cristine Wilson Medal for Equality and Justice from the Iowa Commission on the Status of Women.
Alumna Cristine Wilson '67, for who the medal is named, was active in women's rights in Iowa in the '70s and inducted into the Iowa Women's Hall of Fame in 1989. Wilson founded the Iowa Women's Political Caucus and the Iowa Commission on the Status of Women.
