From an early age, Chris was taught that being a good neighbor means giving back to the community. As a fourth-generation resident of Siouxland, he understands the challenges facing the tri-state area, and is deeply committed to Sioux City's future.
Hall attended North High School in Sioux City, where he graduated as valedictorian. Afterward he stayed in Iowa and received his undergraduate degree from Grinnell College. Currently, Hall works as the Grants Coordinator at Western Iowa Tech Community College.
In his first term as State Representative, Hall was chosen by colleagues to lead bi-partisan negotiations on the Economic Development budget. In this role, he worked with Governor Branstad to create the new High Quality Jobs program. Along with this, he successfully secured economic development funds for the region and continues work to expand tax credits that help Sioux City compete in the tri-state area. He also serves on the Appropriations, Economic Growth, Transportation, and Natural Resources committees. Among 100 representatives, Hall was identified as the 6th most likely to vote across party lines, voting to do what's best for the district rather than push partisan politics.
