Maybl Gertrude Huston '44

Born and raised in Ames, Maybl went on to attend Grinnell College and receive a BA degree in Education from National College of Education in Cranston, Illinois. She left teaching in Lakewood, Ohio, to return to Ames to become a secretary and partner to her father, Oscar Olson, in his new business, Olson Manufacturing Company. Maybl married Dean Huston on June 4, 1950. In addition to raising three fine sons, she packaged nearly every 'Ames Lettering Guide' ever produced by Olson Manufacturing. She was active in Northminster Presbyterian Church, PEO Chapter HO, and Youth and Shelter Services.
