Briggs, a 6-3 center from Salinas, Calif. (Santa Catalina), had a pair of big games during the week as she nearly got double-doubles against non-conference foe Ashford University and preseason MWC favorite St. Norbert College.
In the Ashford game, Briggs had 12 points as well as game-highs of nine rebounds and four blocked shots as the Pioneers posted a 50-44 victory. In the matchup with St. Norbert, Briggs tallied 14 points and nine rebounds while again blocking four shots.
