Lutheran Volunteer Corps (LVC) Info Meeting
Did you know Grinnell produced more LVC volunteers than any other school in the country last year? And that’s raw numbers, not per-capita.
Lutheran Volunteer Corps is a national service-leadership program that unites people to work for peace with justice. Volunteers live together in intentional community, practice simple and sustainable living, and work full-time with social justice organizations. LVC is open to persons from all spiritual traditions and welcomes people who are gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgenderd in all aspects of the organization.
The program offers volunteers housing, health insurance, two weeks vacation, a modest living stipend and additional training throughout the year.
Meet Joanne Otte, admission director and alumna of Lutheran Volunteer Corps:
- Noon–2 p.m. tabling in the Rosenfield Center Lobby, and
- 7 p.m. presenting an information session in Rosenfield Center 226.
Stop by to talk with Joanne and learn more about the program!
