DAH Theatre takes the stage Oct. 27

GRINNELL, IA—Internationally acclaimed DAH Theatre will perform on the Grinnell College campus Wed., Oct. 27 at 7:30 p.m. in Roberts Theatre in the Bucksbaum Center for the Arts.

The Serbian theatre company was formed at the breakup of the former Yugoslavia and has gained reputation for addressing critical positions in history, particularly in dark times.

The Grinnell performance, “Crossing the Line,” will address the atrocities of the Balkan Wars, using images, music and personal accounts of violence, loss, courage and endurance during the civil wars. Tickets are required for this free public performance and may be obtained at the Bucksbaum Center for the Arts box office, beginning Fri., Oct. 22. The theatre company, which will be in residence on the Grinnell campus Oct. 25-30 for a series of student workshops, is supported by the Performing Arts Fund, a program of Arts Midwest funded in part by the National Endowment for the Arts with additional contributions from Iowa Arts Council, General Mills Foundation, and Land O’Lakes Foundation.

The troupe’s Oct. 27 performance is sponsored by the Grinnell College Public Events Committee. The Bucksbaum Center is located at 1108 Park St. Grinnell welcomes the participation of people with disabilities.
