Science students from Grinnell College gathered with peers from twelve other colleges and universities at the undergraduate research symposia sponsored by the Midstates Consortium for Math and Science.

Eleven students traveled to the University of Chicago with Leslie Lyons, professor of chemistry, and Cooper Battle, assistant professor of chemistry, for the symposium in physical sciences, math, and computer science.

Nine students traveled to Washington University in St. Louis with Vince Eckhart, Waldo S. Walker Professor of Biology, for the symposium in biological sciences and psychology.

Students gave oral presentations or participated in poster sessions. Grinnell College participates in both symposia each November.
