Briona took 'A Sense of Place in European Literature' as her core course in the European Humanities program, traveling to Western Denmark during her short tour as part of Core Course Week, and to St. Petersburg for her week-long study tour. Both on tour and in class, she met several well-known contemporary European authors. She also enrolled in an Optional Study Tour that took her on a faculty-led Optional Study Tour to explore impressionism in Paris.
Briona lived with Danes and other international students at a kollegium. She also enrolled in 'Danish Language and Culture', 'Nordic Mythology', 'Danish Fashion', and 'Holocaust and Genocide' (also an Optional Study Tour course with a trip to Hamburg). She volunteered as a DIS Ambassador, meeting with local high school students to discuss topics related to American culture, and she attended the Diversity and Identity Social Club with students from DIS as well as other universities here in Copenhagen.
