Writer Thisbe Nissen and her husband author Jay Baron Nicorvo will be at the Pioneer Bookshop from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, January 30, 2018, to read and discuss their latest novels.

Thisbe Nissen’s newest novel, Our Lady of the Prairie, is a sharp and bitingly funny novel about a professor whose calm-ish Midwestern life gives way to a vortex of crises.

Jay Baron Nicorvo's debut novel is The Standard Grand involving an AWOL homeless female vet and the ragtag group of veterans who come to live together in the Catskills to try to relearn how to live with the rest of the world.

Books will be available to purchase at the event and the authors will be available to autograph them. Refreshments will be served. This event is sponsored by Writers@Grinnell.
