What's New in the Grinnell College Libraries, Spring 2013

LearningExpress Library™ is an interactive online platform that provides the most comprehensive selection of career and academic resources available to empower people for job preparation, career advancement, college readiness, academic success, and skills mastery in math, reading, writing, grammar, and vocabulary. Additional features include the Job & Career Accelerator, software tutorials, and introductory training courses on topics such as taking advantage of social networking.
Readers' Guide Retrospective 1890-1982 provides indexing of over three million articles from more than 550 leading magazines, including full coverage of the original print volumes of Readers' Guide to Periodical Literature™. This important resource offers a wide range of researchers access to information about history, culture, science and seminal developments across nearly a century.
Kathleen Peterson retired on November 30, 2012 having worked for 20 years at the Grinnell College libraries as the Serials Cataloger. Nancy Cadmus retired on January 4, 2013 having worked for 25 years at the Grinnell College libraries doing Serials Acquisitions. Their colleagues at the libraries are missing them and their expertise and will do their best to prevent library users from noticing their absences.
