Robotel Instructions
Robotel unit is kept in the top drawer of the instructor's workstation. When you are ready to use it, place the unit on the desktop and turn the power switch (located on the back panel) to the on position.
You will be prompted for a password. Just hit the "Enter" button
Each computer is assigned a number from 0 to 11. The instructor's workstation is 0. (In Robotel's language, the Instructor's Workstation is "the master station.") For our purposes, the terms "Instructor" and "student" will be used to describe the Instructor's Workstation and the Student's Workstation.
Initially, the classroom will be in a "normal" position. Outlined below are some examples of Robotel's functions.
To place the instructor's image on all computers
1. Press the Group Button
2. Press '0'
3. Press the Monitor Button ("Video from")
To place a student's image on all computers:
1. Press the Group Button
2. Press the student's number
3. Press the Monitor Button ("Video from")
To place a student's image on the projector's screen
1. Press the Individual Button
2. Press the Student's number
3. Press the Monitor Button ("Video from")
To work on a student's computer
This option will display your work on only the instructor's and the individual student's computer (and the projector if it is turned on).
1. Press the Individual Button
2. Press the Student's computer number
3. Press Monitor Button ("Video from")
4. Press "0"
5. Press the Keyboard Button ("Control from")
To work on a student's computer
This option will display your work on each computer in the classroom.
1. Press the Group Button
2. Press the student's computer number
3. Press the Monitor Button ("Video from")
4. Press "0"
5. Press the Keyboard Button ("Control from")
To return to a "normal" position
Press the Group Button or the Individual Button. This will reset the input functions.
Function Button
Press the FCT button and you will have some additional options, including the ability to "Blank" all the screens, and scan the workstations. To scan � press the number of the last workstation you would like to scan and enter the time spent at each workstation (5-30 seconds).
Please
Turn off the Robotel when you are finished teaching. If you need to turn Robotel back on, please wait at least one minute. Do not shut down a PC workstation via Robotel.
