Use Policies for Multimedia Production Machines
Public Use: Use is subject to AV Center hours and availability. You must fill out a reservation sheet with date and time. Don't hesitate to ask for help if you are uncertain about how to do anything.
CTS's: Curricular Technology Specialists assist faculty in integrating technology into the Grinnell curriculum. Faculty can contact Mike Conner (Humanities & Social Studies), or Fred Hagemeister (Sciences & Social Studies) for more information and to authorize students to work on projects.
Storage Space: We encourage you to save your work in your STORAGESERVER folder. Bear in mind, however, that most STORAGESERVER accounts can be eaten up very quickly by audio and especially video capture. You can buy disks, CDs, cassettes, and DV tapes at the bookstore.
Machine Cleanup: At the end of each academic year files on the editing machines will be removed at the discretion of the CTSs and ITS. Older, larger files will be removed to clear enough space for the following year. Be aware that storing your project on these machines is not a long term solution. If you require additional time to store your project on these machines please contact Mike Conner, CTS, at x4112.
