Life and Accidental Death/Dismemberment Insurance

Life Insurance

  • Basic Term Life and AD&D insurance is provided to the employee through The Hartford Financial Services Group, Inc.at no cost to the employee.

  • The basic term life is calculated at 1.5 times the employee's annual salary, rounded up to the nearest thousand, with a minimum benefit of $20,000 and a maximum benefit of $400,000. Insurance exceeding $50,000 is taxable.

  • Double indemnity for accidental death, 50% for loss of a scheduled member (hand, foot, eye), 100% for loss of two or more scheduled members.

  • To cover dependents an employee must elect to participate in the Supplemental Life Insurance Plan.
