The Bucksbaum Center for the Arts is home to the College's fine arts programs: art, music, and theatre and dance, as well as galleries and theatres.  It regularly hosts many events, including guest artists. The Bucksbaum Center for the Arts office supports the fine arts departments. Any questions concerning art, music, or theatre academic exhibits or performances may be directed to 641-269-3064. Conference Operations and Events provides logistical and planning support for Commencement, building dedications, Public Events Concerts, Convocations, and other large-scale events. For information regarding these events, please call 641-269-3178. The Faulconer Gallery hosts a variety of exhibitions and guest artists every year.  In May, the gallery presents the Annual Student Art Salon, a juried exhibition open to all students who wish to submit work. The gallery also presents the biennial art faculty exhibitions, which alternate with solo shows for members of the studio faculty. Every other year, the gallery works with the exhibition seminar taught by the art department. Students in the seminar use art in the Grinnell College Art Collection to design an exhibition, presented in the Faulconer Gallery, and to write a scholarly catalogue, which the gallery publishes. The Faulconer Gallery also oversees the Print & Drawing Study Room in the basement of Burling Library. For more information, please call 641-269-4660.
