The Billing Authorization form is required by Federal Law to be on file in order for the college to release any financial information to individuals other than the student.
The form authorizes Grinnell College to provide billing information to designated individuals and provides direction on how to handle credit balances. The form must be completed in order for the college to release any information to people other than the student.

All Grinnell students will make a $100.00 damage deposit which is separate from the advance tuition deposit and is included as a charge on the pre-registration statement. This deposit serves as a breakage deposit for the residence halls and science labratories and also will be applied to any fines or outstanding charges at the end of the semester. Prior to registration each fall semester, the $100.00 level must be replenished. The unused deposit plus interest will be returned upon graduation or withdrawal from the College.
The College strongly urges all students to be covered by a health insurance policy. Students may enroll in an optional college group supplemental insurance plan. If a student has coverage under a different plan, the charges will be removed upon receipt of the completed enrollment/ waiver card indicating waiver of coverage and listing the plan under which the student is covered.
The enrollment/ waiver form is available here.
Students living in College owned housing are provided local telephone service. Students are billed $65.00 per semester for the local telephone service.
Students may choose to have long distance telephone service through the College telephone system. An authorization code is provided for each student's use after a signed telephone agreement is completed. Students are billed monthly for calls made utilizing Grinnell College access codes.
The telephone agreement is available at the office of the Cashier.
The Pioneer One Card has a debit account option, allowing the card to be used on campus to make purchases without carrying cash. Funds from that account are required to operate the laundry machines and can also be used at the College Bookstore, vending machines, Marketplace and the Spencer Grill. When on campus, students can add money to their account at the Cashier or at a card value machine in the Joe Rosenfield '25 Center.

The Federal Employment Forms are required for all students to work on campus. These must be completed before the student can be paid for any work on campus.
The forms are available in the Cashier Office.
