List a job for current students

Burling

  • Summer jobs for students: Students are always seeking interesting opportunities for the summer. If you have a paid full-time or part-time job opportunity with you or your employer, please consider hiring a Grinnellian! Everything can be done online. Contact Valorie Larsson to discuss your needs.
  • Full-time jobs for seniors: Each year between 30 and 50 percent of the senior class seeks employment after graduation. And they need your help! If you or your organization hires entry level professionals we urge you to list your positions with us. We offer a full range of recruiting services to employers that includes resume referrals, consortia interview days, on-campus interviews. Contact Valorie Larsson to discuss your needs.
List a job for other alumni

Occasionally we receive requests from alumni for more experienced professionals. We use eRecruiting to list those positions for other alumni.

Provide information on relocation

As students and alumni change jobs and locations they need help buying houses, renting apartments, purchasing insurance, hooking up utilities, finding schools and child care. Other Grinnellians are an excellent source of information about the day-to-day realities of living in a particular city. We encourage you to be open to being contacted by other alumni about your city!

Host a summer intern
  • Paid internships: Finding meaningful paid career experiences is difficult for students. For many students the option of doing an unpaid internship during the summer is simply not an option. We are seeking more full-time, paid summer internships with alumni. If you are in a position to host or facilitate a paid summer internship please contact Steve Langerud.
  • Unpaid internships: We know that the reality of many career fields and employers is that they simply do not or can not pay interns. The college offers limited numbers of summer internship grants to support students who secure unpaid summer internships. We always enjoy matching students with alumni for the summer. If you would consider hosting an unpaid summer internship please contact Steve Langerud.
Sponsor an externship

The externship program is a 1-2 week career exploration that includes a homestay with the host. Each extern conducts a focused project for the host while exploring the culture of a worksite. The homestay is a critical part of the experience to help students break down the barriers of work and explore what it really means to be a Grinnellian. This 'porch time' when students and alumni can simply relax and talk is key feature of this program. Contact Stephanie Masta for more information about hosting a student.

Career Hour Speakers

If you plan to visit campus we would welcome the opportunity to host you in an informal setting to talk with students about your life and career path. Students love to hear from alumni about their decisions and experiences - both good and bad! Hearing from you inspires them to take chances, explore new career areas, and feel good about life after Grinnell. To arrange a career hour contact Valorie Larsson.
