Each year the staff of the Career Development Office travels to cities around the United States to offer individual career counseling and workshops for alumni.
The online directory of alumni is available to help you connect with other alumni in career areas of interest to you. This is a great way to begin information interviewing, discover information about specific employers, or develop contacts for your job search or career change.
Steve Langerud, Associate Dean for Experiential Education, is the Prelaw Advisor. He is available to help you explore the law school planning, application and admission process. If you are in the process of applying to law school and need to have the Dean's Certificate completed it should be sent to Jennifer Krohn in the Student Affairs Office.
Individual career counseling is available to alumni either in person or on the telephone (641-269-4940). We suggest that you have at least an hour available for these appointments.
Sometimes it is helpful to take a career interest or personality inventory. The CDO offers the Campbell Interest and Skill Survey or the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator for a small materials and processing fee. These can be mailed to you and individual appointments made for interpretation.
