Maine Conservation Corps
MCC is looking for people to join their Field Teams. These teams work throughout Maine building trails and are comprised of young men and
women from all areas. The mission of the MCC is to offer Corps members an opportunity to experience a different way of living, learning and
serving, and to enhance their personal development and ability to serve their community by accomplishing significant conservation and
environmental service projects which will enhance, protect and restore natural resources and public lands.
The MCC receives AmeriCorps funding through the Maine Commission for Community Service. During their terms of service members receive a
weekly living allowance, health insurance and are able to earn AmeriCorps Education Awards to pay for college or student loans if
eligible. ?The goals of the MCC is to accomplish natural resource related projects with long term public benefit for public and private nonprofit
agencies; to provide job training, education and work opportunities, including the economically disadvantaged; to provide conservation
education and to promote and lead volunteer opportunities related to natural resources.
