SELF HELP GRAPHICS EXHIBITION AT BURLING GALLERY ON GRINNELL CAMPUS
GRINNELL, IA. - An exhibition of Latino art prints from Self Help Graphics and Art, Inc. is on display through Mar. 23 in Burling Gallery on the Grinnell College campus. Self Help Graphics is a nationally recognized center for Latino arts and printmakers in East Los Angeles, Calif.
The exhibition of 50 prints, which reflect the values and spirit of the Chicano community in East L.A., was organized by Danny Zamora, a senior art major from the Los Angeles area. Zamora will talk about the Chicano imagery and his experiences working at Self Help Graphics on Mar. 6 at 4:15 p.m. in Burling Gallery.
Burling Gallery is located in Burling Library at 1111 6th Ave. on the Grinnell College campus. Gallery hours are 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., Monday through Friday, and 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., weekends.
