CLINTON STRATEGIST TO SPEAK AT GRINNELL COLLEGE

Global strategist Wendy Sherman will speak on "The Costs of War," on Sept. 24 at 8 p.m. in the Joe Rosenfield '25 Center, Room 101, on the Grinnell College campus.

Sherman, who is currently a principal for the Albright Group LLC, an international advisory firm, served as counselor and chief troubleshooter for the State Department and Madeline Albright during the Clinton Administration and as policy coordinator on North Korea. With the Albright Group, Sherman uses her experience as a senior-level diplomat to resolve regulatory and political disputes throughout the world. She serves on the board of directors of Oxfam American and the board of advisors for the Center for a New American Security. She is also a member of the U.S.-India Strategic Dialogue and a regular participant of the Australian American Leadership Dialogue.

Sherman's lecture is part of a "U.S. in the World" speaker series sponsored by Grinnell College's Rosenfield Program in Public Affairs, the University of Iowa, and Drake University. The Joe Rosenfield '25 Center is located at 1115 8th Ave. on the Grinnell College campus. -30-
