Foreign Policy Speaker Series Continues in November

FOREIGN POLICY SPEAKER SERIES CONTINUES IN NOV. AT GRINNELL COLLEGE

Grinnell College's Rosenfield Program in Public Affairs will continue its series of foreign policy lectures in November. The foreign policy talks are part of a "U.S. in the World" speaker series sponsored by Grinnell College, the University of Iowa, Drake University, and the National Security Network.

Foreign policy experts who will visit Grinnell this month include:

  • Nov. 12, 8 p.m.: Peter Soverel, president and CEO, Wild Salmon Center, will speak on "Energy and Climate Change." Soverel is a former staff member of NATO and the White House National Security, and a retired U.S. Navy captain.

  • Nov. 26, 8 p.m.: "Global Public Health" will be the topic for Mary Gilchrist, director, Bureau of Laboratory Sciences, State Laboratory Institute, Massachusetts Department of Health, and Michael Schoenbaum, economist, National Institutes of Health. Gilchrist is the former director of the Iowa State Hygienic Laboratory.

All events are held in the Joe Rosenfield '25 Center, Room 101. The Rosenfield Center is located at 1115 8th Ave. on the Grinnell College campus.
